Setting up your iPhone, Android, Blackberry or iPad to work with Google Apps is easy.
- First log into your web based Google Apps email account
- Click on the icon of the gear to the top right of your web based email account
- Click on Settings
- Click on the tab titled Forwarding and POP/IMAP
- In the IMAP section, make sure to select Enable IMAP then scroll down and click Save. If IMAP is already enabled, skip to Step 9
- This will take you back to your Inbox
- Click back on the icon of the gear and click on Setting again
- Click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP again
- In the IMAP section, toward the bottom of the page, click on the link titled Configuration Instructions
- This will open a new tab or window in your browser. Click on the radio button titled I want to enable IMAP
- Scroll down and select the desired device you want to setup (ie. iPhone, Android, iPad etc.)
- Click on the link titled View instructions for Google Apps email addresses
- Skip their first step since you’ve already enabled IMAP and follow the rest of their instructions
Please note that when entering your username on your device, you want to make sure to use your full email address, not just your username.
