 What is FTP?
Solution

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. Simply put, FTP allows you to drag all of the files which make up your web site to another computer. In this case your web server. If you have already signed up for one of web hosting packages, then please refer to your Web Hosting Confirmation email. Within it you'll find the FTP information you'll need to upload or publish you web site to our web servers.

Most all web design programs have they're own built in FTP program and make it ease to upload your web site. If you decide to build your own web site by hand, then you'll need an FTP program to transfer those files and graphics to our web servers. There are many FTP programs out there but we recommend CoreFTP simply because it's free. To download CoreFTP and to learn how to use it, simply visit our online FTP Tutorial. Be sure to watch the online video tutorial on at the bottom of this tutorial page after you've downloaded and installed the program.
